FREEDOM-Shopper is a rules-based promotions module which uses ‘conditions', ‘triggers' and ‘actions' to deliver sales and marketing-led initiatives (such as promotions, discounts, loyalty points) to the customer.
Promotions and rewards are made available at the point of sale, either on an anonymous or a customer-targeted basis. In addition, sales data is made available, both in-store and at a central site, for sophisticated basket analysis, promotions tracking and customer-specific targeted marketing.
FREEDOM-Shopper is designed specifically to enable the selling point to make the "offer". It can then be interfaced to the central CRM solution of choice.
FREEDOM-Shopper is a flexible platform in which the increasing number of customer-focused initiatives can be delivered. Highlights include:
|
• Promotions provide configurable and function-rich incentives, including everything from money-off and free items, to issued coupons for later redemption
• Loyalty points programs
|
• Targeted VIP plans, for example rewards only to gold card holders
• Time-based promotions, for example, ‘happy hour’
|
The above programs can be combined together and linked with other systems to provide a single, flowing offer to the customer.
FREEDOM-Shopper can operate with any of the selling channels that the retailer is using, for example, fixed registers, kiosks, mobile devices, call centers and eCommerce sites.
The FREEDOM-Shopper engine runs as an options subcomponent of the FREEDOM-POS selling engine. FREEDOM-Shopper supports the following promotion types:
|
• Multi-buy. Multi-buy promotions allow the construction of fixed-value money-off promotions based on the number of a single item or single group of items purchased in a transaction.
• Split Package Threshold. This is an extension of the Multi-buy promotion described above. The split package threshold promotion allows the construction of a variable or fixed value money-off promotion based on the number of a single item or single group of items purchased in a transaction and their price.
• Best Discount Split Package Threshold. The best discount split package threshold promotion extends the normal split package threshold by providing the customer with the best discount available irrespective of the order in which the items are scanned.
|
• Group Threshold. The group threshold promotion allows the construction of a variable money-off promotion based on the number of an item or single group of items and a configured promotional unit price.
• Group Discount Threshold. The group discount threshold promotion allows the construction of variable or fixed value money-off promotions that restricts the promotion to a maximum number of purchases of an item or single group of items.
• Store Coupon Issue. This reward generates and prints a store coupon that can be redeemed by the customer at a later time.
